Andrew Sensei 2nd DAN

Andrew started his Aikido journey in 2003, from a background of Shotokai Karate. He was privileged to train directly with Mitsusuke Harada Sensei, and his some of his direct students. Harada Sensei trained under Gichin Funakoshi Sensei, the founding head of Shotokan karate. Andrew passed his Shodan in Shotokai Karate with the KDS in 2005.  Harada Sensei, is a close friend of Kazuo Chiba Shihan, and he became interested in what Aikido could offer as a martial art. Through his Aikido training, he have been able to come in to contact with many of the United Kingdom’s Aikido teachers, such as Henry Ellis Shihan, Derek Eastman Shihan & Haydn Foster Sensei. Andrew has also been able to train under Yoshimitsu Yamada Shihan, and take Ukemi for the Doshu & Waka Sensei in Cardiff in 2010. Andrew passed his Shodan examination in 2009 and  BAB Coaching Level 1 Award in 2010. Andrew has  since had the opportunity to join Kobayashi Dojos UK, and to affirm his Shodan examination under Hiroaki Kobayashi Sensei in 2013, in Cardiff on the annual KUK summer seminar. Andrew succeeding the Head of Dojo, from Nigel Jones Sensei, who will continue to support the Dojo, and guide him in running the Dojo well in to the future. In  2015 Andrew passed his 2nd Dan under Hiroaki Kobayashi Sensei.
